Information we receive
When you contact us on WhatsApp, we receive the contact details, messages and documents you choose to send. To assess a loan enquiry, we may ask for your latest three months’ payslips and bank statements. Our website does not accept application documents.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, assess an application, carry out an affordability check, prepare and send a quotation, and, if you accept a loan, administer the agreement and meet applicable legal obligations. Providing documents is your choice, but we may be unable to assess an application without the information needed. Quotations are sent on WhatsApp.
Confidentiality and sharing
The director has access to applicant documents to handle enquiries and applications. We share relevant applicant information with a credit bureau for affordability checks. We do not sell applicant information or use payslips and bank statements for unrelated marketing. Any other disclosure will be limited to a lawful purpose.
Security and retention
Applicant documents are stored in a secure folder, with access limited to the director. We keep the documents for the duration of an active loan. After the loan ends, or if an enquiry does not result in a loan, we retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. We then securely delete or de-identify it when we are no longer authorised to retain it.
Your choices and rights
You may email us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or raise a privacy concern. Requests to delete information will be considered subject to any legal requirement to retain it. You may also complain to the South African Information Regulator.
WhatsApp is a separate service. Its own privacy terms also apply when you choose to communicate with us through it.
